Kwan Yin is known as the Goddess of Mercy. She directs the flame of mercy and compassion. Her gifts to us are mercy, compassion and healing, especially to women and the birthing of children. Mercy means that there is more assistance given through love than through merit earned. The five petal Lotus is her flower and it was said that it was the first flower brought fourth from Earth and is the divine pattern of the "I Am Presence".
